Below please find an overview of the team that will be caring for and developing your child.
My name is Natasha Noone, and I joined Building Blocks when they opened their Kingston Road setting in 2004. For 10 years, I worked in various positions within the company, including Lead, Deputy Manager, and Nursery Manager at the Kids Club in Wimbledon. I hold a Diploma in Childcare and Education at distinction level and a GNVQ in Business Management. I left Building Blocks in 2014 to work as a nanny, part-time, and as an Office Manager for a media company before having my daughter in 2020, who now attends the nursery. In February 2022, I returned to Building Blocks in a consultancy capacity to support one of the settings in improving their learning environment, which led to a permanent role. I am particularly interested in ensuring children have access to a rich and stimulating learning environment, which is crucial to their all-round development. As the Environmental Lead, I work in partnership with Early Years Managers and their teams to continuously reflect on how their environment delivers the curriculum while supporting individual or groups of children. I also oversee and coordinate maintenance for all settings. With 20 years of experience working with children and families, I have gained a deep understanding of what works well and how to bring out the best in both children and employees. I love collaborating with staff to foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, going to the cinema, and cooking.
I started working at Building Blocks when we first opened in 2001. I initially joined as a kitchen assistant, supporting the chef, before moving into the classroom to provide one-to-one support for children with special educational needs. I later worked within the Kids’ Club/After School and Holiday Club at Dundonald Congregational Church for nine years. In January 2020, I became the Deputy Early Years Manager at Nursery School. I am very proud to say I have developed my professional role and achieved an NVQ Level 2 in Childcare, a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Play-work, a Level 3 in Management, and Level 1 Makaton training. I am also trained as a paediatric and adult first aider. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing stories, and watching films. I love my family and have a daughter and grandson whom I love very much.
My name is Kayla, and I started at Building Blocks in October 2023. From the age of 7, I danced for 8 years in competitions, theatres, and music videos for up-and-coming artists, winning a Jack Petchey Award. I have used my dance skills to teach young children aged 5-7 at community events in Battersea. I later worked as a sales assistant at Zara, located at Battersea Power Station. I am excited to begin my career working with children. In my spare time, I enjoy socialising, listening to music, dancing, and learning new skills.
My name is Iqra, and I joined Building Blocks in April 2024. I have worked for the past 4 years as a nanny, providing sole care for two children aged 3 and 6. I hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care and am currently studying Criminology at South Bank University, which I am due to complete in October 2026. My personality is bright and bubbly, and I am very family-oriented; my family are the most important people to me! In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music and podcasts, spending quality time with loved ones, and always seeking a laugh. 😊
My name is Marley, and I joined Building Blocks in October 2024. I have experience working in multiple SEN schools, supporting children aged 5–18, and coaching children and young adults in sports. I value wellbeing and care deeply about supporting those around me. I played semi-professional basketball and enjoy going to the gym, acquiring new knowledge, and listening to music.
My name is Adam, and I joined Building Blocks in October 2024. I studied at The Brit School, graduating in 2023 with a UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in the Performing Arts at distinction level. I also completed a UAL Level 4 Diploma in Performance with Distinction at the Bridge Theatre Course. I work as an Assistant Drama Teacher at Laine Theatre Arts. I am passionate about the performing arts and strive to make my work inclusive and uplifting for children and staff. I particularly enjoy creating plays, songs, and stories with others. In my spare time, I like playing Dungeons and Dragons, listening to music, and drawing.
My name is Harmony, and I joined Building Blocks in April 2023. I am a highly motivated individual with five years of experience in childcare, working with children aged 1-5. I am a bubbly and happy individual who enjoys bringing out the best in people and fostering teamwork. I aim to create a nurturing environment that supports children’s physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development. In my spare time, I enjoy anything creative or messy, such as arts and crafts, dressing up, and role play. I also love musical theatre and sports.
I have worked for Building Blocks as a Driver since 2008 and hold a degree in Design and Technology. I enjoy my role with Building Blocks as every day with the children is a different day. I do the Nursery School morning and evening shuttle runs and assist with the Kids Club school runs. I enjoy taking the children swimming and to Forest School and supporting on Holiday Club trips. I am a family man and enjoy spending time with my grandchildren outside of work.
